Both authors are professors of musicology at the College-Conservatory of Music, University of Cincinnati. DONALD H. FOSTER is author of Jean-Philippe Rameau: A Guide to Research and articles on eighteenth-century French music. PHILLIP D. CRABTREE is an active conductor and the Director of the College-Conservatory's Early Music Laboratory.
