Book Description
For generations, children of all ages have been fascinated with firefighters and their shiny red trucks. There isn't a child or adult among us who cannot recall watching a fire truck racing to a call or remember stepping into a local fire station in awe of the firefighters and their equipment.
Dear Mr. Fireman captures this innocence and wonder in a way that is both hilarious and poignant. It features children's comments to the author, a twenty-six year veteran of the Brockton Fire Department, that reveal the curious and sometimes painfully honest nature of our nation's greatest asset, its children. This book is a light-hearted look into the minds and hearts of elementary school students as they ponder the great complexities of life, like "What does radar look like," or "Can ants put out flames.." Dear Mr. Fireman is sure to be a treat for readers of all ages.
