About the Author
Born in Chicago, Illinois, at a time when men wore spats (if you have to look that up, you're younger than the author), Mr. Myers graduated from the University of Illinois when you could buy a large pepperoni pizza for three dollars.

A former newspaper editor and retired elementary school teacher, he lives in Valencia, California, where he combined his love of humor and flair for light verse to produce "Somewhere Else."

He has a wife, two sons and two grandchildren and each of them has been the inspiration for a verse or two.

Besides his love for reading and writing, he enjoys golfing and trout fishing.
