Growing up is a joy we all look back on. Some, like Ed Williams, look back better than the rest of us. In this collection of tales, he relates tales of his youth, tales told to him by his dad, and more recent pranks which may make you think he never grew up.
He tells about stepping out with the girl down the road and running over his steady girl friend's dog while taking this girl home. His tale about stink perfume reminds us of the fun boys (and men) can have with a substance that smells like a whoopee cushion sounds. More recent escapades have him involved in a try at collecting workmen's comp for jock itch, and asking a cruise company if it's OK to take a cruise with someone other than his wife.
His story on barium enemas demonstrates how funny such experiences can be fun - when it's someone else having the experience. Ed's stories sometimes touch a tender note, such as the tribute to his uncle with the unusual nickname of "Dog." He also tells of triumphs like winning a singing contest with his impersonation of Elvis.
