North Between The Houses is a collection of very funny, often ribald anecdotes collected over thirty years of service by former Detroit Police Chief, Isaiah "Ike" McKinnon.

Many of the stories speak to the hardships and heartaches that only battered urban royalty like Detroit can sustain yet endure. Racism and poverty are common threads woven into these tales. As are hope and humor.

About the Author
Dr. Isaiah McKinnon served in many capacities with the Detroit Police Department from 1965 to 1984 and as Detroit's Chief of Police from 1994 to 1998. He is currently an Assistant Professor in the College of Liberal Arts and Education at the University of Detroit Mercy. He is also the CEO of the McKinnon Group, his consulting and training company. He is available for public speaking events and lectures.
