Man Things: Equal Time for Men
Editorial Reviews
Midwest Book Review
Why do men act like men? This book blends men's issues with a healthy dose of humor, creating some powerful insights ("The tool belt is one of the greatest adornments a man can wear. ") and some tongue-in-cheek reflections on the nature of male habits ("Assembly instructions? Men don't need them. They put instructions in all those boxes of things that need to be put together for other people, not for men. Men already know how to put things together.

I got such a kick out of a recent entry into the book market. It's called Man Things and it's by Lauran Paine Jr. and it's published by Cascade Publishing in Salem, OR. Lauran points out that Literary Market Place has more than 350 listings under 'Women's Issues', but under 'Men's Issues' it has zero. I recognized myself on almost every page of the book. Lauran Paine Jr. can write and write well. His wit and wisdom spill from the pages of Man Things like water overflowing a bucket. I talked to the publisher and he says sales are running about 80% female. No matter what type of man you are, Man Things will speak to you. I recommend it.
