About the Author
Jason Wood is a freelance film consultant and a co-founder of Ion Productions. He has produced and directed documentaries on Krzysztof Kieslowski, Hal Hartley and Atom Egoyan. Previous publications include The Pocket Essential Steven Soderbergh (Pocket Essentails, 2002) and regular film articles for Enthusiasm Film Magazine and the BBC. David Siegel and Scott McGehee are the directors of Suture, 1993 ('Official Selection' at Cannes Film Festival and Jury prize at Toronto Film festival) and The Deep End, 2001 (selected for Director's Fortnight Cannes Film Festival). Both films won the best Cinematography Prize at the Sundance Film Festival. Together with Robert Nathan they formed an independent film production company in 1999.
