Editorial Reviews
Review
“This latest entry in Greenwood's 'Bio-Bibliographies in the Performing Arts' series differs from earlier books about Cary Grant in being primarily a reference tool. The biographical essay with which Buehrer's book opens occupies only 27 pages of this 200-page work. A chronology follows, and next an extensive filmography presenting complete credits, synopsis, author's comments and excerpts from contemporary reviews of each of Grant's many films. Also included are sections on Grant's radio, TV, and stage appearances: an annotated bibliography; index; and ten black-and-white photos. Useful for stong popular collections, inasmuch as Grant was an enormously popular but not an especially profound or innovative artist.”–Choice
“As with all books in the Bio-Bibliography series, `Cary Grant' includes a biography, chronology, filmography, discography, annotated bibliography, and a listing of appearances on radio, television and the stage. This entry in the series is particularly well written, and includes considerable and valuable documentation. Recommended.”–Classic Images
