Reading William Froug's Zen and the Art of Screenwriting, screenwriter Erich Leon Harris realized that, as much as he liked it, none of the writers who were interviewed was black. Not being one to complain, Harris fired off a proposal to the publishers and wound up with a deal to do his own book.
