Book Description
A brief introduction to corporate finance which is devoted to coverage of the core topics suitable for the course and which avoids unnecessary mathematics. Emphasis is on the concepts, logic, and intuition underlying financial decision-making. This text utilizes a financial balance sheet framework throughout in order to help students visualize how financial decision-making affects other areas of the firm (e.g. marketing, human resources, operations, etc.) This framework is coupled with a decided emphasis on a dominating theme of valuation. Includes a capstone chapter containing two cases designed to allow students to reflect upon the entire conceptual scheme they have mastered.
