Bob Wilder has been around horse race tracks off and on since he was 15. During 40 years as a newspaperman, he served five years as sports editor of the Stockton (Calif.) Record. He also served as sports writer at the Lubbock (Tex.) Avalanche-Journal and the Dallas Times Herald, and was night sports editor at the Houston Chronicle. The author of many horse racing ? related articles in the newspapers, he has devoted some of his spare time to the sport of kings and has taught himself how to make his hobby often times profitable.
