The book teaches the fundamentals of bidding, the language of bidding, and the necessity of partnership communication. The workbook introduces a unique method of increasing partnership communication while eliminating one of the biggest stumbling blocks players encounter. The audio cassette is included to reinforce what is taught in the book. The modern five card major bidding system is taught according to the guidelines of the American Contract Bridge League. It is written in plain english and is easy to understand, and it is printed in large type and is easy to read. It is truly a "Must Have" for bridge players.

After playing bridge for more years than I like to admit, I became a certified bridge teacher. Teaching is a real eye opening experience. I was amazed at the time and energy players (both new and experienced) spend worrying about the unimportant. In the meantime, they often view what is really important as trivial. The remedy for this did not seem too complicated and that is how this instructional kit was born. The book teaches the players what is important and what is not. In fact, it eliminates one of the biggest stumbling blocks to good bidding. The workbook allows partners to practice bidding with that stumbling block removed and it is fun and easy to use. Players have a better idea of what they should be trying to accomplish in the bidding auction. The audio cassette is used for reinforcement. I included it because I can remember leaving many bridge classes and thinking, "What did he say?"
